Passing Parameters as Variables vs Passing Parameters as An Array

Improvisation is the name of the game, and we tend to do a lot of it with plugins and themes. In that process we tend to modify functions by adding more variables to incorporate changes in them. However, unlike most of the other languages, PHP allows users to set default values for variables passed to a method too.

My Thoughts on Premium Plugins

Most of you have heard by now of the departure of Lester Chan from WordPress plugin development. While he will continue to update his plugins as needed, all support will be terminated. As a plugin author myself, I’m not surprised by this news.

Are You Spamming Comments Inadvertently?

In a blog post titles “ 6 Steps to Kill Your Community “, Matt listed “Allow Spam Through” as the second step and “Don’t Participate in Comments” as the fourth step to killing your community. We treat comments and reader participation very seriously at Weblog Tools Collection. We highlight commenters, try to identify the frequent comments who participate willingly and heuristically remove nofollow tags from the links of commenters who participate in the community.
